The name Sheep Dip comes from the casks in which British farmers hid their home-made whisky so that they would not have to pay taxes on it. These casks were labelled 'SD' and were actually filled with insecticides to protect the sheep. Sheep Dip Islay gets its unique flavours from its storage by the sea, on the island of Islay.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: powerful, intense, notes of almonds.
