The winery Pieve Santa Restituta was founded in 1972 by Roberto Bellini. Today it is owned by Angelo Gaja. The 27-hectare winery has been modernized through major investments by Angelo Gaja. In addition to a denser planting of the vineyards, the storage facilities have also been brought up to date. Today, thanks to Gaja's support, the full flavor of the grapes can be found in the bottles. The aging of this red wine took place for 24 months in large oak barrels with a capacity of 500 liters. Then this Brunello was aged for another 12 months in stainless steel tanks. Tasting notes:Rich dark red in the glass. On the nose, pronounced aromas of ripe wild raspberries as well as cherries, nuances of violets. On the palate well matured and fine-grained tannins, fruity blackberries, dark chocolate, cedar. Long finesse and powerful finish. Grape variety: Sangiovese. Aging: barrique. Closure: Natural cork. Aging potential: Until 2030. Drinking temperature: 16-20°C.
